LAS VEGAS GUIDE: TOP PLACES

THE COSMOPOLITAN HOTEL
Scorching temperatures meant the majority of the getaway time was spent by the cooling beautiful pool. The Cosmopolitan Resort  - is huge (as is everything in Las Vegas, myself and the girlies on our hen party constantly seemed to get lost in the Cosmo) offering you levels upon levels of luxurious restaurants, bars, casinos, shopping, pool club, entertainment and more. The sparkling crystal grand entrance alone is something worth seeing (classic and filmic). The interior in the suites are kept very bling, modern and polished, with tons of striking art work. The Cosmopolitan rooms are quite spacious with a stunning balcony view of the flashing neon strip lights. In the day time far in the distance you can also spot the dusty Valley of Fire, Nevada cliff views. Other Top hotels to stay; glamorous Wynn Resort, vintage Tropicana and classic Caesars Palace. (The Ceasars Palace appears in The Dream Girls, Rain Man and The Hangover. And legendary singers such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Diana Ross have all performed at The Caesars Palace) The grand foyer entrance is a number one Las Vegas must see.

HOTEL RESORTS

Tropicana, ParisVenetianCaesarsThe Mirage (See the pool)BellagioWynn Encore Resort and Flamingo. Actually still missing a few here from Las Vegas, Nevada, but the Top Hotel as a must see along the strip at night has to be the beautiful Bellagio Hotel. Do visit at night time to truly experience the magic of the stunning atmospheric fountain display (Run Monday - Friday every 15 mins from 3pm till 8pm, 8pm till 12pm every half hour, Saturday noon - 12pm every 15 mins, Sundays 11am till 7pm every half hour).
EAT

Endless options to dine or grab a quick eat in LV. And just a unique boulevard flying in top world class chefs to town (I mean talk about ultimate glitz and glamour). Top three places to EAT are - BREAKFAST - Hash House a Go Go yummy real authentic american style pancakes, waffles and more - LUNCH - Secret Pizza quirky gaff selling fresh organic tasting pizza by the slice (very NYC and a great vegan menu) - DINNER Hakkasan sweet thai cuisine done at its best!

POOL PARTIES

Top Pool Parties; MarqueeWet Republic at MGM, Encore Beach ClubTao Beach and Drais Group. Make sure you talk to promoters for the guest list first, especially for pool areas and tables. And the same applies for club entry. Prepare to get very very wet!
*CASINO*

All Casinos are open 24 hours around the clock. I lost and totally have no game or strategy when it comes to gambling luck.....but maybe next time.....I'm sure you'll have all the luck in Vegas.

SHOWTIME & NIGHTLIFE

Magic Mike was a great hit for us ladies ;-) But again you'll be unlimited with choice of concerts and shows you can be entertained by in Las Vegas. Do plan ahead as shows can get booked out, and double check whether a particular artist your interested in is in town via a guide here.

SHOP
Top shopping destinations along the 4 mile strip are; The Fashion Show Mall as it's slightly out of the way on the strip, less crowded and filled with pretty independent boutiques. The Venice inspired Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes is beautiful from top to bottom, with big high blue cloudy ceilings and cobbly italian floors. Oh and not forgetting the grand gondola experience along the streaming indoor canal. Also try the Premium Outlets which are a ten minute taxi ride away (There are two major outlets, one north and one south of the strip, you can't beat a cheeky holiday discount...especially in Michael Kors (above)).

MORE TO VEGAS
Book a 'treat yo self' limousine journey to make your trip that extra special to down town (old Las Vegas, Nevada), venture the entire 4 mile strip in style or visit the historic blessing chapels. If your feeling extra daring and love heights, try the Las Vegas Zip Line experience. Or why not take an excursion helicopter over the strip, The National Park Grand Canyon or a boat through the famous Colorado River (which looks friggin spectacular). The Grand Canyon is honestly a landscape deeply breath taking to vision and see, that I really can't articulate the feeling, if you fancy a break from the flashing lights.....Go. (your hotel concierge can hopefully offer you more details ).

The fabulous thang about Vegas is there is something for everyone (including children). You can visit to party hard, gamble, shop or just chill. It's the most unique part of the world that makes anything seem possible. What ever your budget or agenda, you can really have a great time. Of course the city is fast but you can choose your own pace, which I loved this time round from feeling really relaxed (which is strange as you'd always assume Vegas would be crazy and hectic...we didn't want to leave and stay rolling in that limo forever). I've been lucky enough to have experienced a fair bit of travelling this year. And of course I've been really excited to share a little snippet of the adventures with you (and chuffed I've finally hit publish on this post). I hope you've enjoyed reading a mini guide. And hope this read has inspired you in someway, helped organise a hen or guided you for your future travels. I've also realised from writing this post, the majority of the best times had on this particular trip were when we were laughing or dancing (with a stripper...and shhh) and didn't have a camera or phone in my hand to care. Just fully enjoying and living the moment.........fka what happens in Vegas stays in…….VEGAS!! x

  1. Great Holiday destination ! Las Vegas ! City of dreams !

"The golden age, ah, whither is it flown,
For which in secret every heart repines…
When every bird winging the limpid air
And every living thing o’er hill and dale
    Proclaim’d to man,—What pleases is allow’d !"
