NOTTING HILL | STYLE

NOTTING HILL you great location of Style & Beauty. Having mentioned previously how I would love this place to be my new home, I thought I'd explain more and share with you exactly why...The last time I was in NH was probably this time last year, so I'd forgotten how naturally charismatic and characterful this part of the big city is. And I'm not largely talking about the rich coloured houses (that we all love but probably seen a billion times before), but I'm actually specifically talking more about the fierce street style rough element of NH. The soul, art, edge, vibrancy, energy and heart that stems straight out of Portobello Road

Also by my meaning of 'elements and essence', I do frankly mean the bloke who decided to p**s against the wall right next to our shoot. Oh and the other bloke who followed us commenting on how expensive our camera equipment looked with very intriguing eyes (true stories).  And yes of course I would always want the content that I create to be inspiring to you and myself, but I also need to keep my Street Style work true and real to you.

'From the vintage-retro fashion to the quirky furniture antiques, Notting Hill is a place for The Fashion Rebel to expressively feel free'.

Talking of the old fashion...

The bee eye catching stripe is a 70's original classic piece, which I would wear every day if I could and love to style all year round  (& was me old dears). The summer sandals are looking fresh and cool in these white woven chilled flats, and the coin bag is an over seas Tangier find a few years ago (I so need to go back, if you love one-off pieces like this they have tons in the hustling markets of Morocco). The simply black tee is a great cut on top with an added detail of a contrasting long fringing hem (which looks so dreamy with faded jeans). Throw on your staple summer black shades and your retro Notting Hill Street Style ready. 6 WAYS TO TRANSFORM YOUR BEDROOM

Your unique style and flare doesn't have to stop with fashion, so today I'm sharing with you '6 FABULOUS WAYS THAT CAN TRANSFORM YOUR HOME'. Starting with the place I cherish the most, the bedroom. Below you'll find pieces that I've snapped up and a few on order via the old interior wish list. Right I'm shutting up! Enjoy X

1. P L A N T S

  • Indoor plants naturally exude off warmth and positive energy.
  • Instantly brighten up any room and very calming.
  • Think outside the box with your pots, this pot was originally a bin (Get creative to cut costs).
  • Remember to be a good plant parent and water the thing (**doh!).

2. L I G H T S
  • Light will add vibrant colour & personality to your bedroom,  think bold, quirky and sharp in design.
  • Antique shops\boot sales\flee markets are perfect for nabbing them classic & original pieces.
  • The perfect lighting can honestly create such a prefect mood (so bin your dull ones for these bargains)
  • 80's neon lighting (especially pink) are everything at the moment. I want them all!

3. C U S H I O N  C O M F O R T
  • Think strong colours, shapes and patterns. The more overly clashing the better.
  • If you looking to create a hippy 70's vibe, stick to retro inspired prints and slogans.
  • White backdrops will look nicely refreshing, modern, understated and clean.
  • The bigger your cushions the better! And you can never ever have too many!

4. E S S E N T I A L S
RUG, ARMCHAIR AND WOODEN HANGERS

  • I've been after a rattan/bamboo armchair for a while (i know this image is small but it's hopefully giving you a gist) and this beauty is currently on the wish list. Just simply throw on a cushion graphic print.
  • I love how an eccentric rug can add more dept and drama to a space. Monochrome can look so sleek and sharp when placed right in your home (also on the wish list).
  • You may of seen a mentioned of the old 'wooden hanger' obsession over on my Insta but I adore these green ones madly. Any way of injecting another layer of a colour pop gains a big HELL YES from me.

5. G O L D E N  R E T R O  T O U C H E S

  • Think Fabulous by adding plenty of trashy yet fun 70's glamorous golden touches to your room. The more gold member the better! There's just something so old school yet modern with these key pieces.
  • The classic (still working) collectable radio is prefect for adding a touch of vintage nostalgia to any space (I'm in love with this radio).

  • 6. W A L L  A R T

    • Wall art is something that is so personal to you. A true reflection of your own view point on this crazy life and how you see beauty. Remember that and just do you.

A 'transformation' doesn't have to be a change of something huge or drastic. So hopefully you can see with a touch of subtle detail (hmmm that gold is excluded) and inspiration, you can totally create a brand new space that you can live in and love. Especially if you spend a lot of your time working from home reading, writing etc;  having a vibrant positive working environment really helps. And you know I'm always searching for big bargains to help you on your next interior revamp way!
