HOW TO STYLE THE VINTAGE LEATHER TRENCH JACKET | STYLE

With the January sales just around the corner I thought I'd share with you some quick style inspiration for next year. I thifted this new dreamy seventies treasure leather jacket from Urban Renewal Vintage (last month), which is a store I thought I had out grown. But URV's pieces are all unique so each vintage jacket is subtly different in design (totally worth looking as their jacket collection is insane).

A classic trench silhouette, long line hem, long sleeve and slightly over sized in body is exactly what initially drew me in to this piece. It's perfect for winter as the long length will keep you extra warm (shorter lengths work too). Talking of warmth, layers are key by wearing thick jumpers, big sweatshirts and hoodies on underneath. Dashing around Landan town I actually always feel comfortable and warm in this jacket. The timeless appearance and feel of this piece is stunning for an evening out thrown over a fierce look (like this festive treat), or low key styled against every day denim.

With this vintage leather jacket being second hand I would say the overall quality is really frigging amazing, although being an original the buttons are quite delicate, so do be careful with handling (buttons can easily be replaced if needed). I know you vintage fashion lovers will also especially like the four-button double-breasted detail and old school collar design as much as I do (i did do a happy style dance when found). You can also of course wear a jacket like this throughout the entire year (even perfect for them cold summer nights).  Leather jackets are still on trend at the moment so finding one that's a little different is a key stand out bonus, as we know there's just something so special about a good vintage thrift….When you do find a beautiful item you kind of want to keep hold of it forever.

Listed below are 14 vintage stores to help you find something slightly similar, and 15 leather (similar) jackets available from your local high street.
